SIDEROS SyncroLift® 2-Column Welding Positioner
SIDEROS SyncroLift® two-column positioner with synchronized lifting for long and asymmetric welded workpieces.
Description
SIDEROS SyncroLift® 2-Column Welding Positioner
SIDEROS SyncroLift® 2-Column Welding Positioner
The SyncroLift® is a two-column welding positioner with synchronized lifting on both columns. The workpiece is supported at both
ends, rotates about its own axis, and moves up and down to the welder’s working height — without the cantilever and counterweight limitations of a single-table positioner.
Where It Wins
Long, slender or asymmetric workpieces are the hardest cases in heavy fabrication: vehicle frames and axle structures, shipbuilding spools and sections, masts, booms, pressure vessel components. A single-table positioner either cannot lift the cantilever or lifts it at the expense of stability. Two synchronized columns solve the geometry.
Advantages
- Two-end support for long and asymmetric workpieces
- Synchronized lifting on both columns
- Rotation about the axis for continuous circumferential seams
- Working height set to the welder, not the workpiece
- Fewer crane movements per welding cycle
- Fewer welding positions — simplified WPS
- Compatible with mechanized and robotic welding
Integration and Support

Sideros Engineering
Roussakis Supplies is the official partner of Sideros Engineering in Greece. Sideros Engineering designs and manufactures welding automation, industrial fume and dust extraction, and sheet metal handling systems at its facility in Italy. The range is built for heavy fabrication — the kind of work where the weldment is too large to move by hand, the plate is too heavy to lift safely, and the fume and dust generated are a documented occupational and explosion risk. Why Sideros for defence and naval fabrication
Defence and naval manufacturing in Greece is moving fast — armoured vehicle programmes, naval newbuilding and refit, and lightweight aluminium structures. All three create the same three problems on the shop floor: awkward weldments, hazardous atmospheres, and welding procedures that must be qualified, repeatable and documented.Sideros equipment addresses each one directly:
Positioners bring the weld to the welder. Welding downhand instead of overhead or vertical means fewer welding positions, which means fewer qualified WPS, fewer WPQR, and faster qualification of a new programme. ATEX-rated extraction makes aluminium fabrication legally workable.Grinding and cutting aluminium produces a combustible dust with a hydrogen risk in wet collectors. This is not a comfort issue — it is ATEX 2014/34/EU and EN 60079 territory. Fume extraction is a compliance requirement, not an option.** Welding fume has been classified as a Group 1 human carcinogen since 2017. Extraction at source, per EN ISO 21904, is now the expected standard in any audited facility.Local engineering, not just supply
Sideros equipment is supplied through Roussakis Supplies with in-house capability behind it. We integrate positioners with EWM welding sources and the EWM XNET Welding 4.0 platform, giving weld-by-weld traceability, paperless WPS/WPQR management and real-time deviation detection — the documentation trail a defence or classification audit expects. We hold over 30,000 product codes with major brand access and ex-stock availability, in-house know-how for large turnkey welding and positioner projects, and local support for any project based in Greece.
