SIDEROS 3-AXIS WELDING POSITIONER RotoLift®
RotoLift® is a three-axis hydraulic positioner and handler for assembly and welding. It does what most positioners do not: alongside tilting and rotating the workpiece, it also lifts and lowers it. Three axes — elevation, rotation, tilt — on a single patented machine.
Why this matters in defence and naval fabrication
Armoured hulls, turret assemblies, naval blocks and heavy foundations share one characteristic: they are awkward. The welder either works in position — overhead, vertical, at an angle — or the workpiece is repositioned by crane between every pass. Both routes cost you.
Working in position costs you qualification. Every welding position you use is a position you must qualify: more WPS, more WPQR, more welder qualification, longer lead time to first article on a new programme. RotoLift lets you weld downhand across the whole assembly. Fewer positions, fewer procedures, faster qualification.
Repositioning by crane costs you time and safety. Every crane lift is a stopped weld, a rigging operation, and a controlled-risk event in your safety case. RotoLift removes the crane from the weld cycle.
