SyncroMatic is a work table with a travelling extraction hood that moves with the work instead of waiting for it.
The problem with fixed source capture
Source capture only works if the capture point is where the fume is. A fixed hood on a long weld is a fixed hood that is wrong for most of the weld. The welder either stops to reposition the arm — which they will not, every time — or works outside the capture envelope and the exposure figure in your assessment stops matching reality.
SyncroMatic moves the capture point along the table with the operation. The fume is taken at source across the whole working length, without depending on the welder to move anything.
Why this suits defence and naval fabrication
Long, repetitive weld runs on panels, frames and sub-assemblies are exactly the case where fixed extraction fails and where exposure accumulates over a shift. Under EN ISO 21904, capture at source is the primary control — SyncroMatic makes it work for the parts that are longer than one hood.
