SIDEROS WET DUST COLLECTOR STAINLESS STEEL EcoWet
Description
SIDEROS WET DUST COLLECTOR STAINLESS STEEL EcoWet
SIDEROS WET DUST COLLECTOR STAINLESS STEEL EcoWet
EcoWet captures dust in a water bath instead of a dry filter. For combustible and abrasive dusts this changes the risk picture: there is no filter cake to smoulder, no dry media to act as fuel, and the captured dust leaves the airstream wetted and inert.
Where wet collection is the right answer
- Combustible metallic dust where a dry filter is itself an ignition risk
- Abrasive dust that destroys filter media on a short cycle
- Grinding and deburring where sparks travel with the dust
- Mixed processes where a dry collector cannot be guaranteed clean
Stainless steel construction handles the corrosive environment a wet collector creates for itself — a carbon steel body in the same duty is a maintenance liability from day one.
Aluminium: read this before specifying
If the dust is aluminium, wet collection alone introduces a new hazard. Aluminium reacting with water generates hydrogen, which accumulates in the collector headspace. EcoWet must be specified with the Sideros SafeFlow® CaCO₃ dispenser, which suppresses that reaction at source. We will not supply one without the other for aluminium duty.
Features
- Stainless steel construction
- Water-bath dust separation — no dry filter media
- Suitable for combustible and abrasive dust
Specified, supplied, installed and supported by Roussakis Supplies across Greece.

Sideros Engineering
Roussakis Supplies is the official partner of Sideros Engineering in Greece. Sideros Engineering designs and manufactures welding automation, industrial fume and dust extraction, and sheet metal handling systems at its facility in Italy. The range is built for heavy fabrication — the kind of work where the weldment is too large to move by hand, the plate is too heavy to lift safely, and the fume and dust generated are a documented occupational and explosion risk. Why Sideros for defence and naval fabrication
Defence and naval manufacturing in Greece is moving fast — armoured vehicle programmes, naval newbuilding and refit, and lightweight aluminium structures. All three create the same three problems on the shop floor: awkward weldments, hazardous atmospheres, and welding procedures that must be qualified, repeatable and documented.Sideros equipment addresses each one directly:
Positioners bring the weld to the welder. Welding downhand instead of overhead or vertical means fewer welding positions, which means fewer qualified WPS, fewer WPQR, and faster qualification of a new programme. ATEX-rated extraction makes aluminium fabrication legally workable.Grinding and cutting aluminium produces a combustible dust with a hydrogen risk in wet collectors. This is not a comfort issue — it is ATEX 2014/34/EU and EN 60079 territory. Fume extraction is a compliance requirement, not an option.** Welding fume has been classified as a Group 1 human carcinogen since 2017. Extraction at source, per EN ISO 21904, is now the expected standard in any audited facility.Local engineering, not just supply
Sideros equipment is supplied through Roussakis Supplies with in-house capability behind it. We integrate positioners with EWM welding sources and the EWM XNET Welding 4.0 platform, giving weld-by-weld traceability, paperless WPS/WPQR management and real-time deviation detection — the documentation trail a defence or classification audit expects. We hold over 30,000 product codes with major brand access and ex-stock availability, in-house know-how for large turnkey welding and positioner projects, and local support for any project based in Greece.
