Commonly used insulating gloves are made of latex, which has relatively low mechanical resistance to punctures or cuts. Therefore, protective gloves must be worn over the insulating gloves. Ergonomics are very important when working on live systems. Installers often work wearing three pairs of gloves at once: a cotton liner that absorbs sweat, an electrical insulating glove, and a leather glove.
