As a protective measure and good housekeeping practice, many shipowners worldwide carry sealing tape on board their vessels.

Dry Cargo tape is an internationally recognized and accepted heavy-duty, all-weather sealing tape, with proven results since its introduction in the early 1970s. It consists of 20-metre rolls of bituminous compound coated on polyethylene film and interleaved with release paper.
