The Savage A41 Air is ESAB’s professional auto-darkening helmet for welders who are under the hood
for hours at a time. The single-button digital control gives a continuous shade range from 8 to 13 —
covering MIG/MAG, TIG, stick, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting — with six sensitivity and six delay settings
so it adapts precisely to your process. Four arc sensors keep the darkening reliable even at low TIG
currents or when the arc is hidden behind the workpiece.

The external grind button locks the filter at shade 4, so you move from welding to grinding without
taking the helmet off. The true-colour view with V2 optical clarity to EN ISO 16321 renders the weld pool
clearly and reduces eye fatigue across a full shift.

Why the “Air” version

The Air version differs from the standard Savage A41 in its air-duct headgear and the face seal.
With a PAPR connected, filtered air enters at the top of the head and flows down across the face —
noticeably more comfortable over long hours, with no draught blowing straight into the eyes. Without the
unit, the helmet works normally as a conventional auto-darkening helmet.
