BROCO ULTRATHERMIC UNDERWATER CUTTING ELECTRODES
Broco Ultrathermic Underwater Cutting Electrodes – Burning at over 10,000°F at the tip, Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic electrodes cut or melt almost any known material. Broco’s patented rod design features alloy wires held in place with circular corrugations. This special design prevents burn-back into the torch. Ultrathermic electrodes can be bent 90 degrees or more to reach hard-to-access positions without restricting oxygen flow or causing the insulation to break down or come loose.
Ultrathermic electrodes can be used with a maximum of 150 amps to assist the burning process and have no electrical power requirements. Once ignited, they continue burning as long as oxygen is supplied or until the rod is consumed. Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic cutting electrodes are available in 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch diameters. Standard length is 18 inches. Broco® also offers 36-inch Ultrathermic cutting rods for heavier-duty jobs, allowing for longer burn times between electrode changes.
