The mechanism<\/h4>\n

Fine aluminium reacting with water liberates hydrogen gas. In a wet dust collector processing aluminium fines, that reaction runs continuously and the hydrogen collects in the headspace above the water. Hydrogen has a lower explosive limit of roughly 4% in air and an ignition energy an order of magnitude below most dusts. The collector installed to control your dust explosion risk quietly becomes a hydrogen accumulator.<\/p>\n

SafeFlow\u00ae meters calcium carbonate (CaCO\u2083) into the process water at a controlled rate, raising and buffering pH to suppress the aluminium\u2013water reaction at source. No reaction, no hydrogen, no headspace accumulation.<\/p>\n

Why this belongs in your explosion protection document<\/h4>\n
