AQUASOL Water-Soluble Adhesive Membrane for Pipe Welding Purge<\/p>\n
Liquifilm is a fully biodegradable, water-soluble purge membrane that can be used as a purge gas dam during TIG welding, providing a highly effective alternative when full purging is impractical or too costly. Flexible and robust, Liquifilm can be used on stainless, duplex and chrome steels, as well as titanium alloys.<\/p>\n
Supplied in 1 x 20 metre rolls, centre-folded or core-wound, this transparent membrane can be cut to the required size for any pipe diameter. Liquifilm can be pierced for gas inlets and outlets with minimal risk of tearing and has high tensile strength, allowing the welding area to maintain a higher level of positive pressure.<\/p>\n
Liquifilm can be positioned close to the weld zone and then dissolved with hot or cold water or steam introduced through the pipe. Less inert gas will be used, ultimately resulting in lower cost for the overall welding operation. As an impermeable purge dam, Liquifilm is suitable for nuclear, aerospace and other applications.<\/p>\n
